I've been doing a little teaching, and will teach a class with my friend Terry Foxx at the Pajarito Environmental Education Center at the end of October and during early November on Environmentally Friendly Crafts. We'll be getting all of our supplies from thrift stores or from our own rag piles. See the PEEC website for more information on upcoming classes.
New Work at the Johnsons Gallery in Madrid, New Mexico in October and November

I'll be showing my work in Madrid, New Mexico, a cool little old mining town south of Santa Fe, during October and November. The Johnsons are great supporters of artists in general and fiber artists in particular, and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to roll out some new pieces. Look for opening receptions on the first Saturday of each month.December, too

I'll be bringing new work, never before seen, down to Madrid for the December fiber arts show. Madrid, New Mexico is a great place to visit in December, with parades, lights, galleries, food, hot cider- and it's a gorgeous drive from wherever you are in New Mexico or southern Colorado.Touched by Fire at Mesa Public Library

If you're familiar with the Cerro Grande Fire of 2000, you'll be happy to see the artwork that was created in and around Los Alamos in response to that fire. The show is called "Touched by Fire: Hands that help, hands that create." In addition to the artwork, we will have a wall of volunteers- more than 2700 names of people who helped with fire-fighting and with the recovery, reseeding the forest and rebuilding the trails.
